The maintenance of a thermal mechanical analyzer (TMA) requires a comprehensive consideration of the instrument's characteristics and usage scenarios. The following are key measures:
environmental control
Maintain stable laboratory temperature (recommended 20-25 ℃) and avoid strong electromagnetic interference and vibration.
Use a dedicated regulated power supply to ensure that the voltage fluctuation range is within ± 5%
.
Cleaning and dust prevention
Optical components (such as displacement sensors) need to be cleaned with mirror paper, and direct contact with the mirror surface is strictly prohibited.
Regularly wipe mechanical components such as sample holders and furnaces with anhydrous ethanol to prevent residue from affecting accuracy.
Maintenance of constant temperature water bath system
Use distilled or deionized water, regularly replace the filter element (recommended every 2-3 months), and clean the pipeline.
It is recommended to raise the water temperature by 2-3 ℃ (with refrigeration) or 10 ℃ (without refrigeration) above room temperature to avoid condensation.
Calibration and Accuracy Verification
Calibrate temperature, displacement, and force systems every 6-12 months, in accordance with ISO/ASTM standards.
When restarting after long-term disuse, a baseline drift test should be conducted first.
Replacement of vulnerable parts
Check the sealing ring of the probe, insulation material of the heating furnace, etc. If aging is found, replace it immediately.
When lubricating transmission components (such as lifting mechanisms), use high-temperature lubricating grease.
Software and Data Management
Update control software to the latest version and backup historical test data.
After testing corrosive samples, it is necessary to clean the sample chamber with a C-bottom to avoid residual contamination of the sensor.
Cover with dust cover during non working hours, with built-in desiccant (such as silicone) to prevent moisture
