Although it did not cause direct casualties, it resulted in the airbag of nearby vehicles being deployed, and two people in the car were lightly injured. At present, the company has suspended local hydrogen refueling stations and related services, and relevant departments have also intervened in the investigation.

At present, the cause of the explosion is not yet clear, but in response to the explosion incident, both Toyota and Hyundai have stated that they will suspend the sales of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Norway until the cause of the explosion is investigated. It is reported that this is the third recent hydrogen explosion accident after South Korea and Canada.

From this perspective, in the automotive industry, the promotion and application of a new energy source should prioritize its safety.

In the future, with the promotion and application of hydrogen energy vehicles, efforts should be made to prevent explosion accidents like the ones mentioned above from a technical perspective. For example, currently, in some vehicle mounted hydrogen safety monitoring systems, in addition to hydrogen sensors, more sensor monitoring methods are also added. If a hydrogen system pressure sensor is installed, it can be used to determine the remaining amount of hydrogen in the gas cylinder, ensuring normal vehicle operation. When the pressure is below a certain value, prompt the driver to add hydrogen gas; Installing a temperature sensor can promptly detect the possibility of a fire around the gas cylinder when the gas temperature suddenly rises sharply.
