Experimental freeze-drying machine, also known as pharmaceutical freeze-drying machine, is mainly sterilized by steam sterilization, ethylene oxide sterilization, and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization for its freeze-drying box.

The sterilization method of chemical reagents has a corrosive effect on pharmaceutical freeze-drying machines and is also prone to residual chemical reagents, affecting product quality. The steam sterilization method uses saturated steam to denature cellular albumin to kill microbial communities, which is a highly effective and reliable method with no pollution or residue.

Therefore, pharmaceutical freeze-drying machines all use high-temperature steam sterilization. In situ sterilization (SIP) of pharmaceutical lyophilizers is an important process step to ensure the quality of biological products and drugs. In situ sterilization refers to steam sterilization of a system or equipment in its original installation position without any movement. The simple process of the saturated steam sterilization SIP system for freeze-drying machine (as shown in the figure) requires sterilization of the inner wall, side plate, pressure plug device, condenser interior, detection components, related pipelines, valves, etc. of the freeze-drying box.
