The specific instructions for using the solar simulation system are as follows:
1、 Preliminary preparation
1. Equipment inspection
Carefully inspect the light source, optical system, control system, and other components of the solar simulator to confirm that they are functioning properly, without damage or malfunction.
Ensure that all connection lines are firm and reliable, the power connection is stable, and the power supply voltage meets the equipment requirements.
2. Environmental preparation
Choose a suitable testing environment to ensure that the temperature and humidity are stable and free from strong electromagnetic field interference. For example, some systems require environmental humidity to be maintained below 50%.
Maintain good indoor ventilation to avoid adverse effects on human health.
3. Sample preparation
Place the photovoltaic modules, materials, or equipment to be tested in a suitable position, ensuring that their relative position and angle with the solar simulator meet the testing requirements to ensure that the sample can receive uniform illumination.
Ensure that the sample is clean and free of impurities, avoiding obstruction or reflection issues.
2、 Guidelines for Testing and Operating the Solar Simulation System
1. Start the device
After completing the parameter settings, strictly follow the steps in the operation manual to start the solar simulator. After startup, it is necessary to wait for the light source to stabilize its output. Generally, this requires a certain preheating time (such as 15 minutes) to ensure that the light intensity and spectral characteristics reach a stable state.
If the equipment has not been used for a long time or the light source is aging, standard silicon cells need to be used for calibration, and this operation should be carried out by the person in charge of the instrument and equipment.
2. Data collection
Utilize supporting measuring equipment (such as multimeters, data collectors, oscilloscopes, photometers, digital source meters, etc.) to measure and record in real time the electrical performance parameters (such as short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, fill factor, photoelectric conversion efficiency, etc.) and optical characteristics of the tested sample under simulated lighting.
Professional instruments such as spectrometers can be used to measure the spectral irradiance of solar simulators to ensure compliance with testing requirements.
3. Multi condition testing
If it is necessary to test the performance of the sample under different lighting conditions, comprehensive test data can be obtained by changing the parameters of the solar simulator (such as irradiance, spectrum, lighting angle, etc.) and repeating the testing operation.
3、 Guidelines for Testing and Post Processing of Solar Simulation System
1. Device shutdown
After the test is completed, turn off the solar simulator and related measuring equipment in the correct operating sequence. First, turn off the light source (such as pressing the "LampOff" button), wait for the device to cool down (such as the fan stopping rotating), and then cut off the power to avoid damage to the device due to prolonged operation.
2. Data processing and analysis
Organize, analyze, and calculate the collected data, and draw relevant curves and charts such as I-V curves and P-V curves.
Evaluate the performance and quality of the tested sample based on testing standards and expected goals, such as assessing the photovoltaic conversion efficiency and output power of solar cells.
4、 Guidelines for using solar simulation system and equipment maintenance
1. Daily cleaning
Regularly clean the solar simulator by wiping the equipment surface with a soft cloth to remove dust and residue.
2. Regular calibration
Regularly calibrate the solar simulator to ensure that its output light intensity and spectral characteristics meet the testing requirements.
3. Component replacement
Timely replace aging light sources and components to ensure the accuracy of equipment application.
