Therefore, establishing a scientific calibration cycle and verification method is crucial.
1、 Recommended calibration cycle
Conventional usage environment: Temperature sensors are recommended to be calibrated once a year, while humidity sensors are recommended to be calibrated every 6-12 months due to their susceptibility to contamination and aging;
High load or harsh working conditions (such as frequent high and low temperature impacts, high humidity salt spray environments): Calibration should be shortened to every 6 months;
CNAS accredited laboratories must develop a calibration plan based on risk assessment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and maintain a complete traceability chain.
2、 Accuracy verification method
External standard comparison method:
Use a high-precision temperature and humidity recorder certified by the metrology institute (such as PT100 temperature probe+capacitive humidity sensor, accuracy ± 0.1 ℃/± 1.5% RH), place its probe in the center and corner of the test chamber (at least 5 points), run for 2 hours under typical working conditions (such as 25 ℃/60% RH, 85 ℃/85% RH), and record the deviation value.
Multi point distribution test:
According to JJF 1101 "Calibration Specification for Temperature and Humidity of Environmental Testing Equipment", conduct temperature fluctuation, uniformity, and humidity deviation tests under no-load conditions to determine the overall performance of the sensor.
Self diagnostic function assistance:
Some intelligent test chambers have sensor health monitoring functions, which can prompt "abnormal signal" or "slow response" as a calibration trigger basis.

3、 Precautions
Calibration should be carried out after the equipment has been preheated and stabilized;
Avoid reading during defrosting or humidification transients;
The humidity sensor should not be wiped with alcohol to avoid damaging the sensitive film;
All calibration reports must include uncertainty analysis and be traceable to national standards.
