The surface roughness profilometer uses a contour centerline as the evaluation benchmark, and evaluates the surface quality with six parameters: contour arithmetic mean deviation Ra, micro light roughness ten point height Rz, contour height Ry, average spacing Sm of contour micro roughness, single peak average spacing S of contour, and contour support length ratio tp, to obtain the required surface roughness.

Product Introduction
Surface roughness is a commonly used parameter in mechanical processing to describe the micro morphology of surfaces. It reflects the micro geometric errors of mechanical parts' surfaces. With the development of the mechanical processing industry, surface roughness measurement technology has also made significant progress, especially in the mid to late 1970s. With the gradual popularization of microelectronic computer applications and the development of modern optical technology and laser application technology, the position of roughness measurement technology in precision processing industries such as mechanical processing, optical processing, and electronic processing has become increasingly important.
The measurement methods of surface roughness can be basically divided into two categories: contact measurement and non-contact measurement. In contact measurement, there are mainly comparison method, impression method, touch needle method, etc; The commonly used non-contact measurement methods include optical cutting method, speckle method, astigmatic measurement method, optical heterodyne method AFM 、 Flying optical sensor method, etc.
non-contact
The non-contact surface roughness profilometer is a method of measuring surface roughness by indirectly reflecting the information of the measured surface through means that do not affect the morphology of the measured surface. The advantage of this method is that the detection part of the measuring device does not directly contact the measured surface, protecting the measuring device and avoiding measurement errors introduced by direct contact with the measuring device
The measurement methods are divided into contact and non-contact, with simple measurement operation and rapid analysis. They can be used for surface roughness measurement and surface quality evaluation of processed workpieces such as ceramics, marble, sapphire, and metals.
