As the core component of precision filtration devices, the performance of TC pre filters directly affects the purity and operational efficiency of downstream systems. The correct storage method can effectively extend the service life and maintain the filtration efficiency. The following key points are explained from three aspects: environmental control, physical protection, and operating standards:
1、 Environmental Control - Creating Stable Storage Conditions
Temperature and humidity management: The ideal storage temperature is 5-30 ℃, and the relative humidity is ≤ 70%. High temperature accelerates the aging of seals, and humid environments can easily breed microorganisms and cause metal parts to rust. If the humidity in the storage area exceeds the standard, a dehumidifier should be installed and the filter should be placed on a moisture-proof rack.
Avoid light and oxidation: Ultraviolet radiation can degrade the high molecular weight polymers in the filter material, and it is necessary to use original packaging boxes or opaque masks to isolate the light. For filters containing activated carbon adsorption layers, it is particularly important to avoid desorption effects caused by direct sunlight.
Clean ventilation: Storage areas should be kept away from dust sources and maintain slight positive pressure ventilation to prevent particle settling. It is prohibited to mix new filters with old parts that have been contaminated and are awaiting disposal to avoid cross contamination.
2、 Physical protection - multiple barriers ensure integrity
Retain the original packaging: the new filter that has not been opened shall be completely preserved with the vacuum plastic film, foam liner and outer carton when leaving the factory. Damaged packaging should be repaired in a timely manner, and the gaps can be tightly wrapped with food grade PE film.
Stacking and stacking are strictly prohibited: both boxed and loose items must be stored flat in a single layer. Stacking heavy objects can cause deformation of the filter pleats, and changes in fiber density may result in excessive initial pressure difference.
Chemical erosion prevention: The storage area is prohibited from storing volatile substances of acid mist, and acidic and alkaline chemicals must be isolated for at least 3 meters. Oil tools and solvent bottles must be stored separately, and nitrile gloves should be worn before coming into contact with the filter.
3、 Operating Standards - Standardized Flow Process
First in, first out principle: Establish a system for labeling storage time and prioritize the use of the earliest batch of storage. Filters that have exceeded their shelf life (usually indicated on the shell label) are not allowed to be put into production.
Before opening, check if the packaging is intact. If there are any puncture marks, reject immediately. When opening, slowly peel off along the incision to avoid scratching the edge of the filter paper with a utility knife.
Temporary storage area management: When storing temporarily on the construction site, it should be placed in a dedicated turnover vehicle and covered with dust-proof cloth. The open end of the unsealed but uninstalled filter needs to be sealed with a blind plate to prevent moisture from flowing back.
4、 Special scenario response plan
Long distance transportation post-processing: Filters that have experienced severe vibrations need to be left to stand for 24 hours before being inspected for appearance and confirmed to have no structural deformation before they can be stored. If necessary, perform bubble point testing to verify sealing.
Attention to cold storage: Low temperature environment (<0 ℃) will cause the rubber seal ring to lose elasticity. After removal, it should be equilibrated at room temperature for more than 12 hours before opening the box to prevent cold brittleness and fracture.
Emergency maintenance spare parts: Spare parts for key positions should be rotated monthly to avoid local stress fatigue caused by long-term standing. The spare filter needs to hang a 'disabled' sign to prevent accidental use.
The storage of TC pre filters is essentially a passive protection for precision manufacturing structures. By constructing a storage system with constant temperature and humidity, physical isolation, and controllable processes, the stability of key parameters such as filter material capacity and airflow resistance can be maximally maintained. In practical operation, it is necessary to establish a management system that includes temperature and humidity logs, inspection records, and replacement ledgers in accordance with the requirements of the equipment manual, in order to achieve full cycle quality control from warehousing to application.
