The smoke and dust tester extracts a certain volume of dusty gas through an air pump, and collects the dust particles on a filter cartridge or filter paper of known weight. After the sampling is completed, the concentration of smoke and dust is calculated based on the weight difference of the filter cartridge or filter paper before and after sampling, as well as the volume of gas extracted. When a beam of light shines on smoke particles, scattered light is generated. Calculate smoke concentration by measuring the intensity of scattered light. Equipment typically includes components such as a light source system, optical detectors, and signal processing circuits. The light source is generally laser or light-emitting diode. The optical detector receives scattered light signals and converts them into electrical signals, which are then amplified, filtered, and calculated to obtain the results.
Measure the attenuation degree of beta rays passing through the sample gas. This method is based on the characteristics of the interaction between radiation and matter, and can accurately reflect the absorption of radiation by smoke and dust, thereby indirectly determining its concentration. Insert the sampling tube into the measuring point position in the flue, facing the direction of the airflow, and extract a certain amount of dusty gas according to the requirements of constant velocity sampling. By combining the weight of smoke and dust captured by the filter membrane or filter cartridge with the volume of gas, the emission concentration and total amount of particulate matter can be further calculated.
Precautions for using the smoke and dust tester:
1. Storage conditions: The instrument should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and sun protected place to avoid moisture, high temperatures, or direct sunlight that may affect its performance.
2. Transportation protection: During lifting and transportation, bottom protection should be provided, and instruments should be placed upwards to avoid tilting or flipping; At the same time, it prevents strong vibrations, collisions, and the invasion of dust, rain, and snow.
3. Operating standards: Operators need to undergo professional training, be familiar with instrument performance and emergency plans, and ensure data authenticity and compliance; When sampling, attention should be paid to maintaining stable flow conditions in the flue to reduce sources of error.
4. Daily maintenance: Regularly clean sensors and filtering devices, check the sealing of the air path; It is recommended to remove the battery and disconnect the external power source when not in use for a long time.
5. Safety protection: When working at heights, be sure to fasten your seat belt and wear protective equipment in high temperature environments; In case of an emergency situation (such as equipment failure), immediately initiate emergency procedures and evacuate the dangerous area.
