The core process of liquid nitrogen generator
Date: 2025-10-27Read: 1
Liquid nitrogen generatorIt is an equipment that uses air separation and liquefaction technology to produce liquid nitrogen on site. It has the characteristics of immediate production and use, safety and convenience, easy operation, high degree of automation, and high purity of liquid nitrogen. It is widely used in laboratories, industrial production, medical and other fields.
Liquid nitrogen generatorBased on pressure swing adsorption (PSA) nitrogen production and low-temperature refrigeration liquefaction technology, the core process is divided into three steps:
Air pretreatment: After being compressed by a compressor, the air is filtered to remove moisture, oil, and dust, avoiding blockage or corrosion of subsequent components; Then cool down to room temperature through a cooler to prepare for the nitrogen production process.
Nitrogen Separation (PSA Nitrogen Production): The pre treated compressed air enters the adsorption tower (filled with carbon molecular sieves), where molecular sieves selectively adsorb impurities such as oxygen and carbon dioxide. Nitrogen then passes through the adsorption tower to obtain high-purity nitrogen with a purity of 99.9% -99.999%; Two adsorption towers work alternately to achieve continuous nitrogen output.
Nitrogen liquefaction: High purity nitrogen enters a low-temperature refrigeration system and is cooled to -196 ℃ (boiling point of nitrogen) through throttling expansion or heat exchange, transforming it from a gaseous state to a liquid state, and finally collected in a liquid nitrogen storage tank; The storage tank is equipped with insulation layer to reduce the loss of liquid nitrogen volatilization.
Safety precautions during use:
The equipment should be placed in a well ventilated environment (to avoid nitrogen leakage causing oxygen deficiency, as a nitrogen volume ratio exceeding 84% in the air can cause suffocation), and an oxygen concentration alarm should be installed if necessary.
Do not stack flammable materials near the equipment, as liquid nitrogen leakage may cause a fire when encountering flammable materials; The storage tank should not be violently collided to prevent a large amount of liquid nitrogen leakage caused by rupture.
