As a precision optical instrument, Zeiss inverted microscope requires strict maintenance and cleaning standards to ensure stable equipment performance and extended service life. The following are specific maintenance and cleaning guidelines:
1、 Optical system maintenance
Lens cleaning
Daily dust removal: Use an ear ball or soft bristled brush to gently dust off the surface of the lens, avoiding direct contact with the lens.
Deep cleaning: If the lens is stained with oil or fingerprints, use a degreasing cotton dipped in a 3:7 ratio of anhydrous ethanol and a mixture to gently wipe in a spiral progressive manner, avoiding dry wiping or using rough fabrics.
Oil mirror treatment: After use, professional mirror paper dipped in anhydrous ethanol should be used for cleaning to prevent residue from corroding the coating.
Dust and mold prevention
When not in use, leave the eyepiece inside the lens barrel or cover it with a dust plug, and cover the entire machine with a dust cover.
The laboratory humidity should be controlled below 65%, and it is recommended to install a dehumidifier in humid areas to prevent lens mold growth.
2、 Mechanical system maintenance
Shock resistance and stability
The microscope should be placed on a stable table to avoid vibration and impact, and kept away from direct sunlight and air conditioning to prevent lens cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
Lubrication and fastening
Regularly inspect threaded rulers, screws, and other components to ensure that they are securely fastened and not loose, and provide necessary lubrication.
3、 Usage standards
Pre-operation preparation
Before starting up, make sure the potentiometer knob is in the minimum position to avoid damaging the light bulb due to excessive current.
When adjusting the light source, control the light intensity through the brightness adjuster to avoid direct viewing of strong light.
Post use processing
Before turning off the power, adjust the brightness of the light source to the darkest level and wait for the bulb to cool before cleaning.
Rotate the three hole converter to place the objective lens on the lower side of the stage to prevent dust from settling.
4、 Environmental management
Temperature and Humidity Control
The laboratory temperature should be maintained at 20-24 ℃ and the humidity should be ≤ 65% to prevent optical components from getting damp or mechanical parts from rusting.
anti-corrosion
Microscopes must not coexist with corrosive chemical reagents such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid to prevent component corrosion.
5、 Circuit and Power Supply
voltage stability
Ensure stable power supply voltage with fluctuations not exceeding ± 10%, and install a stabilized power supply in areas with unstable voltage.
regular inspection
Check the power cords, plugs, and cables for integrity every month to avoid the risk of electrical leakage.
6、 Handling and dismantling
Handle with care during transportation to avoid collisions.
It is strictly prohibited to dismantle the intermediate optical system or important mechanical components at will. If maintenance is required, please contact Zeiss professionals.
