The fecal Escherichia coli online analyzer can detect extremely low concentrations of fecal Escherichia coli
Date: 2025-12-04Read: 0
Fecal Escherichia coli online analyzer is an instrument used for real-time detection of fecal Escherichia coli concentration in water quality, widely used in water quality monitoring, sewage treatment, food industry, public health and other fields. It helps government departments, environmental protection agencies, and enterprises achieve pollution source control and early warning through efficient and accurate detection methods.

Fecal Escherichia coli online analyzerWorking principle:
1. Spectrometric method
The spectrophotometric method mainly determines the concentration of specific substances (such as metabolites) produced by fecal Escherichia coli in water samples by measuring their light absorption intensity. Specifically, certain Escherichia coli bacteria secrete specific enzymes or metabolites that absorb a certain amount of light energy under specific wavelengths of light irradiation. By measuring the changes in light absorption in water samples, the content of fecal Escherichia coli in water can be indirectly calculated.
2. Fluorescence method
Fluorescence method utilizes specific fluorescent substances secreted by fecal Escherichia coli or detects Escherichia coli through fluorescent markers. Typically, fluorescently labeled antibodies bind to fecal Escherichia coli and emit a specific wavelength of fluorescence signal upon excitation. The instrument determines the concentration of fecal Escherichia coli in the water sample by detecting the fluorescence intensity.
3. Electrochemical method
The electrochemical method utilizes the electrochemical changes produced by fecal Escherichia coli under the action of an electric field for detection. This method usually uses electrodes as sensors, which react with bacteria in the water sample to generate electrical signals, and determine the concentration of bacteria through changes in current. This method has the characteristics of high sensitivity and fast response, and is suitable for online monitoring.
4. Real time PCR method
Real time PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is currently the most accurate method for detecting fecal Escherichia coli, which amplifies specific DNA fragments in water samples to detect whether they carry E. coli genes. Although PCR method has high sensitivity and accuracy, it is often used more in laboratory testing due to its complex operation and high cost.
Advantages of Fecal Escherichia coli Online Analyzer:
1. Real time monitoring
The biggest advantage of online analyzers is the ability to achieve real-time monitoring. This enables various places (such as water treatment plants, food production lines, environmental monitoring points, etc.) to obtain concentration information of fecal Escherichia coli at any time, so as to detect problems and take measures in a timely manner.
2. High precision and high sensitivity
The detection methods used usually have high sensitivity and can detect extremely low concentrations of fecal Escherichia coli. Especially PCR and electrochemical methods can provide accurate detection results, ensuring the accuracy of water quality, food, and environmental monitoring.
3. Convenience and automation
Modern online analytical instruments are usually designed for automated operation, and users only need to regularly replace water samples or monitor data without frequent manual intervention. Easy to operate, saving manpower and time.
4. Warning function
Excessive concentration of fecal Escherichia coli often indicates that the water or environment has been contaminated. Online analyzers can set thresholds and issue alarms when the concentration exceeds the standard, taking measures in advance to prevent the spread of pollution.
