Experience sharing of operating a light incubator
Date: 2025-09-09Read: 2
Light incubators usually use efficient light sources such as LED or fluorescent lamps, which can simulate the natural spectrum of sunlight and provide suitable light intensity and cycle. Users can adjust the intensity, color, and duration of light according to experimental needs to simulate day night changes or meet the specific needs of organisms for different light qualities, such as red light, blue light, full spectrum, etc., thereby promoting photosynthesis or light morphogenesis.
By using a compressor for cooling or an electric heating wire for heating, coupled with high-precision temperature control sensors, the temperature inside the box is maintained constant. The common temperature range is 0-50 ℃ or even wider, ensuring a stable growth environment for biological samples under different climatic conditions. It integrates multiple functions, including automatic humidity control, over temperature protection, etc., to achieve monitoring and accurate management of the environment. Some models also support automated control, further improving the convenience and accuracy of use.
Precautions for using a light incubator:
1. Installation environment requirements
-Location selection: It should be placed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, while keeping the ground flat to reduce vibration and noise; At least 30 centimeters of space should be reserved around to ensure heat dissipation and air circulation.
-Grounding treatment: It is necessary to effectively connect the ground wire to avoid electromagnetic interference affecting equipment performance.
2. Operating standards
-Item placement: Avoid blocking the air ducts on both sides (key ventilation channels) to prevent uneven temperature caused by airflow obstruction; The load should not be too dense to avoid obstructing air circulation.
-Lighting management: Turn off the light switch in a timely manner when there is no need for lighting, which not only saves energy and extends the life of the lamp tube, but also avoids local overheating in the upper layer.
3. Handling and maintenance
-Transportation restrictions: The tilt angle during movement must not exceed 45 degrees, and inverted handling is prohibited to prevent damage to refrigeration components; Avoid severe bumps or impacts that may cause glass doors to break.
-Troubleshooting: If the equipment suddenly shuts down, priority should be given to checking whether the fuse tube is blown and whether the power supply is normal.
4. Attention to special functions
-Power outage protection mechanism: Some models have a delayed restart function (about four minutes), and the compressor needs to wait for the end of this period before restarting after shutdown.
