1、 Regular calibration method
calibration cycle
It is recommended to calibrate the gas leak detector every 6 months to 1 year. If it is used in harsh environments for a long time or frequently, it should be shortened to 3-6 months. If the device experiences inaccurate measurements or abnormal displays, it should be calibrated immediately.
Calibration steps
Zero point calibration: Place the detector in clean air, wait for the display to stabilize, and then follow the instructions to enter the zero point calibration mode to eliminate environmental interference.
Range calibration: use the standard gas that is consistent with the measured gas, slowly feed it into the detector through the flow controller to expose it to the gas of known concentration, and adjust the display value of the instrument to be consistent with the standard value.
Record and report: Detailed record of calibration date, gas type, concentration, displayed values before and after calibration, and problem handling methods, prepare calibration report and keep it properly.
Environmental Requirements
The calibration environment temperature, humidity, and air pressure must comply with the instrument's specified range (such as temperature 23 ± 7 ℃, humidity ≤ 60% RH), avoiding interference from airflow and vibration.
2、 Standard Leakage Hole Usage Guide
Selection and Connection
Select standard leakage holes with appropriate leakage rates (such as 10 ⁻⁷ Pa · m ³/s) according to the calibration requirements of the detector, ensuring that their specifications meet the requirements. When connecting, it should be tight and leak free. If the leakage hole has a flow adjustment function, adjust it to the recommended value of the detector.
Key Operating Points
Preheating and Stability: The detector needs to be fully preheated and run stably before calibration.
Recording and comparison: Record the leakage rate value displayed by the detector and compare it with the nominal value of the standard leakage hole. If the deviation is within the allowable range, it is normal. Otherwise, it needs to be calibrated or repaired.
Cleaning and Storage: Clean the leaking surface after use to prevent contamination. When storing, place it in a shockproof packaging box and a vacuum drying oven (temperature 25 ± 5 ℃, humidity ≤ 30%).
Regular verification
Standard leaks need to be submitted to CNAS qualified institutions for calibration every 12 months or after 500 uses, with calibration certificates kept and corrected values recorded. If the measurement data deviation exceeds ± 5%, it needs to be calibrated in advance.
