This cooperation marks a breakthrough in the full chain innovation of 'testing research and development application' in the field of material safety testing and polymer material modification in China.

Technology Fusion: Intelligent Devices Drive Material Innovation

The cooperation project will rely on the latest third-generation horizontal and vertical combustion testing system developed by Beiguang Jingyi, which has three core technological advantages:

1. Precise Temperature ControlAdopting gradient heating technology to achieve a temperature error of ≤± 3 ℃ within the range of 100 ℃ to 700 ℃, meeting the EN45545-2 R26 standard for automotive interiors and the testing requirements of ECE R118 Appendix 8;

2. Intelligent judgmentIntegrated AI flame recognition system, capable of automatically recording flame/flameless combustion time (with an accuracy of 0.01 seconds) and generating a three-dimensional combustion trajectory map;

3. green and safeEquipped with an exhaust gas treatment module, the purification efficiency of benzene derivatives reaches 99.6%.

PolyOne Polymer will provide a special flame retardant masterbatch formula, and its halogen-free flame retardant technology can enable polypropylene materials to pass UL94 5VA testing, with a 40% reduction in smoke density grade (SDI) compared to traditional materials.

This cooperation with PolyOne Polymer (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has obtained technical certification from the China National Textile and Apparel Council. The jointly developed flame-retardant ABS material will be applied to:

• Smart home appliance control panel (passed IEC 60707 hot wire test)

• Rail transit interior components (compliant with ISO 5658-2:2020 flame spread rate requirements)
