As the demand for sustainable energy continues to grow, manufacturers face the challenge of providing high-quality packaging materials to ensure sealing protection for solar panels from corrosion and oxidation. To achieve this protection, the adhesive must be able to maintain high barrier quality under temperature fluctuations and weather conditions. Accurately evaluating the transmission rate of water vapor and oxygen through the barrier layer (WVTR/OTR) is crucial for improving the lifespan of photovoltaic equipment in the development process of photovoltaic products.

By accurately measuring the gas permeability of solar panels, weak links in packaging can be identified. With low detection limits for measuring water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and oxygen transmission rate (OTR), MOCON accurately predicts the water vapor and oxygen permeability of solar products after decades of installation.
