The portable transformer oil spectrometer is mainly used for on-site rapid analysis of dissolved gas components in the insulation oil of oil filled power equipment (such as transformers). It detects seven gases including hydrogen (H ₂), oxygen (O ₂), methane (CH ₄), acetylene (C ₂ H ₂), etc. through gas chromatography to assist in determining whether the equipment has potential faults such as overheating and discharge.
The portable transformer oil spectrophotometer is a device designed for on-site detection of dissolved gases (such as methane, acetylene, hydrogen, etc.) in transformer oil. Its core function is to quickly determine whether there are faults such as overheating and discharge inside the transformer, avoiding sudden equipment damage.
Its working principle is as follows:
Sample injection: Inject the transformer oil sample into the injection port, and the sample is heated and converted into a gaseous state.
Chromatographic separation: Gaseous samples are separated at different times by chromatography columns (usually capillary columns), and different components are separated due to differences in boiling point, polarity, and adsorption coefficient.
Detection and analysis: The separated components are detected by a detector to obtain information on the content of each component in transformer oil.
We adopted the gas chromatography method, but optimized it for miniaturization and speed in the field scenario. The process is as follows:
Sampling: Extract transformer oil samples through syringes or automatic sampling devices.
Degassing: Using "headspace degassing" or "membrane separation degassing" technology to separate gases dissolved in oil.
Separation: The separated gas enters the chromatographic column, and different gases flow out of the column in sequence due to differences in adsorption desorption ability.
Detection: The gas concentration is converted into an electrical signal through a detector, and then a chromatogram and gas concentration data are generated.
routine maintenance
Regularly replace consumables: After testing 50-100 samples, replace the injection pad and degassing membrane (if it is membrane separation degassing) to prevent consumables from aging and affecting testing efficiency.
Column maintenance: When not in use for a long time, a carrier gas (such as nitrogen) should be supplied to protect the column from moisture or contamination; Perform aging treatment on the chromatographic column every six months (set the heating program according to the instructions) to restore column efficiency.
Regular calibration: Contact the manufacturer or third-party organization annually to calibrate the detector with standard gas to ensure that the detection accuracy meets the requirements.
