The online transformer oil chromatograph is an analytical instrument based on gas chromatography technology
Date: 2025-12-02Read: 1
The core function of the online monitoring device for transformer oil chromatography is to detect the concentration of characteristic gases dissolved in transformer oil in real time, detect latent faults inside the equipment early, and ensure the safe and stable operation of power transformers. This device has become a key equipment for smart grids and condition based maintenance.
working principle
Oil gas separation: Transformer oil is sucked into the oil sample collection unit through differential pressure pump suction, and rapid separation of oil and gas is achieved through vacuum environment and magnetic stirring.
Gas purification: impurities are removed through cold trap technology, and the faulty characteristic gas is introduced into the six way valve quantitative tube.
Chromatographic separation: Under the propulsion of the carrier gas, mixed fault gases are introduced into the chromatographic column, and separation is achieved by utilizing the differential affinity of the chromatographic column for different gases.
Gas detection: Gas sensors detect fault characteristic gases one by one in the order of peak emission, and convert the concentration characteristics into electrical signals.
Data processing: The data collector converts and stores electrical signals, and calculates the components and total hydrocarbon content of the faulty gas through embedded data analysis software.
Fault diagnosis: The backend main control computer fault diagnosis expert system comprehensively analyzes and diagnoses transformer oil spectrum data, achieving online monitoring and analysis of transformer faults.
Function:
Continuous monitoring of the content and trend of dissolved gases (such as H ₂, CH ₄, C ₂ H ₄, C ₂ H ₂, CO, CO ₂, etc.) in transformer oil
Automatically identify potential internal faults (overheating, discharge, etc.) of the equipment through a fault diagnosis expert system
Real time data transmission and remote monitoring to achieve intelligent status maintenance
Online transformer oil chromatography analyzer is widely used in transformer monitoring of power systems, especially suitable for monitoring the operating status of power transformers with voltage levels of 110KV and above, and high-voltage parallel reactors with voltage levels of 330KV and above. By monitoring the gas composition in transformer oil in real-time, potential faults in transformers can be detected in a timely manner, providing important basis for evaluating the operational status and lifespan of transformers.
