The AG-300+roughness waviness meter is a detection device that integrates multiple measurement technologies. Its working principle revolves around data acquisition, intelligent signal processing, multi-dimensional analysis and calculation, and flexible data output. Through the collaborative operation of various components, it achieves the measurement of parameters such as surface roughness and waviness of workpieces.
1、 Operation mechanism of core measurement system
The measurement core of the instrument consists of sensors, high-precision guide rails, and drive systems. The sensor adopts a differential inductance design and is equipped with a 5 μ mR diamond 90 ° measuring needle. Under the action of adjustable measuring force below 7.5mN, it can adhere to the surface of the measured workpiece. During measurement, the driving system drives the sensor to move along the X-direction guide rail, with a guide rail travel of 50mm and a straightness control of 1 μ m/50mm to ensure the movement trajectory. The X-direction resolution is adaptively adjusted within the measurement range of 0.0016 μ m/± 50 μ m to 0.016 μ m/± 500 μ m. The Z-direction sensor has a range of ± 1000 μ m and can capture real-time micro height changes on the workpiece surface, converting physical displacement into electrical signals.
During the measurement process, users can choose a measurement speed between 0.05mm/s and 2.00mm/s according to their needs, and the return speed is synchronously adjustable, ensuring both high-precision measurement requirements and measurement efficiency. The guide rail supports the sensor to switch vertically and in the same direction as the guide rail. For deep grooves and other parts, measurements can be taken from the side, breaking through the limitations of measuring needles and groove depth. At the same time, the instrument supports two measurement modes with and without a guide head, and can maintain measurement accuracy for small-sized workpieces even when measuring without a guide head.
2、 Principles of Signal Processing and Filtering
The raw signals collected by sensors include roughness, waviness, and other interference signals, which need to be separated and purified through a filtering system. The instrument is equipped with five filtering methods: Gaussian, FFT, PC, DP, and 2RC, which users can flexibly use according to measurement standards and workpiece characteristics. By setting different filtering wavelengths (λ s: 0, 2.5, 8, 25 μ m; λ c: 0.08, 0.25, 0.8, 2.5, 8mm; λ f: 0.8, 2.5, 8, 25mm), different frequency signals can be filtered to separate roughness profiles, ripple profiles, and original profiles.
In the signal preprocessing stage, the instrument supports six shape modes: global, front half, back half, center, 2-point, and curve, which can be determined by the shape characteristics of the workpiece regardless of the influence of shape factors on the measurement results. In addition, by automatically calibrating the standard block multiple times, the instrument can correct system errors in real time, further improving the accuracy of signal acquisition.
3、 Logic of Analysis Calculation and Parameter Evaluation
The filtered signal will enter the analysis system for multidimensional parameter calculation based on multiple national standards such as JIS, ISO, DIN, ASME, GB, etc. The analysis algorithm covers multiple categories such as roughness profile, support rate curve, and graphics, and can calculate roughness parameters such as Ra, Rq, Rp, support rate curve parameters such as Rk, Rpk, Rvk, as well as graphic related parameters such as NCRX and AR, fully meeting the measurement needs in different scenarios.
During the evaluation process, the instrument adopts the evaluation length mode of "sampling length x number of samples", supports switching between standard mode and custom mode, and controls the relative indication error within ± 5%. At the same time, it can generate characteristic curves such as support rate curve, amplitude frequency analysis curve, amplitude distribution curve, etc., which intuitively present the surface characteristics of the workpiece. By controlling the stability of the indication by 3%, ensure the consistency of multiple measurement results.
4、 Data transmission and storage mechanism
The instrument is equipped with two methods of wireless WiFi communication and network cable connection, which can achieve automatic switching. WiFi communication supports long-distance operations, while Ethernet connections ensure faster data transmission speeds in scenarios where wireless devices are inconvenient to use, such as in workshops. The operating machine adopts a 10 inch color IPS touch screen, which supports switching between Chinese and English interfaces, as well as switching between metric and imperial systems for the operating interface and result parameters, adapting to different user habits.
In terms of data storage, the instrument supports changing the storage path directly to a USB flash drive or SD card on the Pad, using CSV data format for easy subsequent data processing and analysis, and has no upper limit on data storage. At the same time, measurement results can be output through WiFi printing, PDF file export, and other methods to meet the needs of data archiving and sharing. The instrument is equipped with a rechargeable battery, which can complete 800 measurements when fully charged. It is compatible with a power supply of AC220V ± 10%, making it suitable for various working environments.
