The AG-280 roughness waviness meter, as an integrated measuring device, can capture surface structure information of parts. Its working principle revolves around core links such as mechanical structure, sensing and detection, signal processing, and data analysis, ensuring the convenience of the measurement process.
1、 Mechanical Structure and Motion Control
The mechanical system of the instrument provides a stable foundation for measurement. The measurement stroke of 30mm in the X direction can meet the surface inspection needs of various sizes of parts. Paired with a driver with a straightness of 1 μ m/30mm, it can ensure the smoothness of the stylus movement during the measurement process and reduce the impact of mechanical offset on the measurement results.
The sensor is connected to the host through a lifting frame, allowing for flexible height adjustment without the need for an additional platform, and is suitable for measuring workpieces at different heights. The measurement speed and return speed both support multi gear adjustment of 0.05mm/s, 0.10mm/s, 0.50mm/s, 1.00mm/s, and 2.00mm/s. The appropriate speed can be selected according to the surface characteristics of the workpiece and measurement requirements, balancing measurement efficiency and data accuracy.
2、 Sensing and detection principle
The instrument adopts a differential inductance sensor with a range of ± 500 μ m, paired with a 5 μ mR diamond 90 ° measuring needle, measuring force of 4mN and supporting adjustment. This design ensures the stability of the contact between the measuring needle and the workpiece surface, while reducing damage to the workpiece surface.
The headless measurement method allows a single stylus to adapt to the measurement of complex structural components such as R-angles, deep grooves, curved surfaces, deep holes, and channels without the need to replace the probe, expanding the applicability of the instrument. When the measuring needle comes into contact with the surface of the workpiece and moves along the X direction, the micro undulations on the surface of the workpiece will drive the measuring needle to produce small displacements. The sensor converts this displacement signal into an electrical signal, providing raw data for subsequent processing.
3、 Signal processing and filtering mechanism
The electrical signal output by the sensor will go through a series of processing steps. Amplify weak displacement electrical signals through signal amplification circuits to ensure that the signals can be recognized. Subsequently, the signal is filtered using a filtering module, which supports various shapes such as global, front half, back half, center, 2-point, curve, as well as filter types such as Gaussian, FFT, PC, DP, 2RC, etc.
Meanwhile, the instrument can be set λc(0、2.5、8、25μm)、λs(0.08、0.25、0.8、2.5、8mm)、λf(0.8、2.5、8、25mm) Separate the signals corresponding to the roughness profile, ripple profile, and original profile based on the filtering parameters, eliminate irrelevant interference signals, and ensure the pertinence of the measurement data.
4、 Data parsing and result output
The filtered signal will be transmitted to the analysis system, which will analyze the data of five measurement types: roughness profile, waviness profile, raw profile, support rate curve, and graph based on preset evaluation criteria and algorithms.
During the analysis process, the instrument will calculate various corresponding parameters, covering multiple indicators such as Ra, Rq, Wc, Wz, Rmax, Rk, etc., and the parameters meet multiple countries and standards such as JIS, ISO, DIN, ASME, GB, etc. In addition, the system can generate characteristic curves such as support rate curve, amplitude frequency analysis curve, amplitude distribution curve, etc., which intuitively present the surface structural characteristics of the workpiece.
After the measurement is completed, the data can be stored in PDF format or printed out through WiFi. The instrument is equipped with a 5-inch color touch screen and supports Chinese/English operation interfaces. Users can easily view the measurement results, call preset configurations, and achieve one click measurement. The built-in rechargeable battery supports about 50 continuous measurements, meeting the needs of various usage scenarios such as on-site and in place metering.
